Financial Manager US - Exeter, NH

As a Financial Manager you are responsible for building and maintaining a strong Finance team of well-trained, healthy and engaged employees to manage the financial health of the organization, to promote success and growth while maintaining legal financial practices including generating financial data, compiling and submitting report and enforcing compliance with finance-related laws, procedures and regulations such as tax filing and financial reporting.

About the position

  • Manages/coaches employees and ensures optimal workforce quality and quantity.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices.
  • Ensure that corporate fiscal obligations are fulfilled (CIT, wage tax, VAT and withholding tax)
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standards
  • Budget and forecast of cashflow, net debt and working capital
  • Lead the analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and report to the board / shareholders / banks
  • Prepare monthly consolidation of the Company
  • Coordinate periodic financial reviews/ audits with outside audit and tax firms as required
  • Deal with working capital management and production of cash flow forecasts.
  • Lead the team responsible for accounts payable, payroll, VAT and credit management processes (including payroll and VAT)
  • Participate as a strategic business partner on cross functional teams to help drive organization efficiency, effectiveness and continuous improvement
  • Support harmonization of finance and accounting procedures with the ZEISS organization to enable synergy realization

Skills, know-how and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Economics, or MBA 
  • 6-10 years of working experience in a related field
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (including IFRS knowledge)
  • Financial consolidation software experience
  • Experience running annual audit
  • Strong fiscal knowledge
  • Ability to delegate and manage the work of others
  • Business knowledge
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • People management and leadership capabilities
  • Customer service orientation (How can I help you?)
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Capacity to work without supervision and under pressure
