Junior Accountant - Exeter, NH

Dutch Ophthalmic USA Inc., a leader in innovative ophthalmic medical devices, is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant – Exeter, NH to join our finance team.

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Senior Accountant and be actively involved in key financial processes including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger management. You’ll also support audits, budgeting, and contribute to a variety of ad hoc projects. Main responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required: weekly Cash Report, Month-end Inventory Valuation Report and Daily Sales Analysis
  • Support the sales team by sending the Commission Statement to DORC/Zeiss Regional Directors on a monthly basis
  • Assist with monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Enter bi-weekly payroll entries into Sage
  • Enter inventory transactions
  • Support the Senior Accountant and Finance Manager in all month-end closing activities

Assist and provide back-up for the AP/AR Specialist when needed:

  • Review vendor invoices and send them to the Senior Accountant for approval
  • Process vendor invoices and weekly payable check runs in Sage AP
  • Process weekly employee reimbursements in Concur
  • Perform weekly and monthly bank statement reconciliations

Skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (required)
  • 1+ years of accounting experience
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, including cost accounting
  • Experience with accounting and related software (Sage, SAP, Concur, Salesforce is a plus)
  • Professional demeanor and high regard for confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • A base salary between $45,000 – $65,000
