We are currently searching for a Sales & Application Manager - Tokyo , Japan.
The Sales & Application Manager is responsible to drive revenue growth in his territory, ensuring product mix and profitability target are reached. He will, working in close relationship with the Regional Director, manage existing and/or new distributors in order to ensure deep understanding of the market, implement with them winning strategies, ensure thorough product knowledge, provide regular product training and support product demonstration with co-visit to customers. He or She will be DORC point of contact to escalade and help resolving commercial, quality, regulatory or technical issues in his territory.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Understand OR Protocol/Surgical Health and Safety Guidelines/Procedures
- Understand and able to demonstrate all DORC products in OR, training, co-visit, and in congress
- Support and advise surgeons on the use of our products; Participate to Key account surgeries as defined by Regional Director
- Manage Distributor Sales and Application force performance with the support of the Regional Director in his / her territory
- Realizes set sales budget by managing/expanding sales contacts, following-up quotations, special requests and tenders
- Reports regularly on activities and performances
- Gather, analyze and share all relevant information on markets development, competition, customers and products in his territory
- Identify risk/opportunities in the market and propose /execute strategies and action plans to manage them
- Establish, develop and maintain KOL relationships within the territory
- Prepare, attend and follow up on key congresses
- Responsible that all DORC activities are in compliance with local legislation
- Ensure distributor compliance with DORC’s:
- distributor guidelines and general conduct requirements
- product knowledge, marketing initiatives and product launches
- application support and after sales services processes
- Coordinate with Regulatory Affairs product registrations, product reporting or recall activities
Skills, Education and Expertise
- 5-8 years of relevant working Ophthalmology experience
- Experience working in the Operating Room
- Experience in the Ophthalmology surgical environment
- Experience in sales and managing indirect sales channel is desired
- Native Japanese and English language skills is mandatory
- Willing to travel with high frequency in his territory
- Self-management and organizational skills
- Able to articulate, promote and present product and strategies in an engaging manner
- Strategic thinker
- Ability to negotiate at all levels
- Team player with high level of integrity
- Deep technology and clinical understanding
- College degree in Business or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Medtech Engineer or Nurse will be a plus
