Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

Are you looking for a job where you are responsible for developing and improving assembly and testing processes for the manufacture of ophthalmic instruments and devices? And do you have knowledge of-and experience with-the established regulations in international standards for Medical Devices? And are you always curious about developments within your field? Then quickly read on to our position of Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer.

Together with R&D and production, you determine which processes can be automated and which requirements are important. Your contact with suppliers, system integrators and automation companies is good and you are a sparring partner during the development process. The final combination of machine and process is extensively tested and the data analysed (DOE) so that it can be taken (FAT, SAT) and validated (IQ, OQ, PQ). For a good introduction to the production floor, internal operators are also trained using the work instructions you have created. You maintain close contacts with system engineers, mechanical engineers, precision engineers, production, suppliers and quality assurance.

  • Testing and validating machines with associated processes (FAT, SAT, IQOQPQ)
  • Supervising and assessing 0-series and recording the results
  • Preparing production documents (assembly manuals)
  • Training and supervising production personnel and final inspectors in production.

  • Knowledge and experience with process risk management (PFMEA, Control plan, validation)
  • Technical) process documentation and production documents (construction file)
  • Experience with 2D and 3D CAD
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in Dutch and English
  • A college education in a technical field such as mechanical engineering, precision engineering, product design or mechatronics. Or comparable level obtained through experience
  • At least 10 years' work experience in a position involving collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in a Medical Devices production environment
